Counselling costs & how to book

The counselling I offer costs £45 for a 50 minute session (I have a limited provision for concessionary rate clients at £35 per session too), either face to face in Hayle, Cornwall, or online via Zoom. In most instances my clients attend a minimum of 6 sessions, and it is often the case that clients continue working with me until there is a natural ending point, or a pause.

How to book your counselling sessions

Step 1 – Contact me using the booking form or send me a message
In the first instance I request that you complete my ‘Free 30min Call Booking Form‘ – an expression of interest – and send it over to me, or send me a message on my mobile on 07922 158720. I’ll then send an email or text message with a couple of times that we can have an initial 30 minute chat.

Step 2 – A free 30 minute chat
This call is an opportunity for my clients to ask questions about the counselling I provide, for me to speak a little about what I offer, and what to expect as a client working with me, and for us both to see if a first session would be the right next thing. We will also discuss costs, session availability and timings.

Step 3 – Important information & booking in
If my client and I are to go ahead and work together then I will request that they fill in an ‘Initial Assessment Form’ which asks a few important questions. This usually takes about 20mins and includes practical things like contact information, as well as more integral things like doctor’s details, health and wellbeing, and what the counselling is for (this information and any information I hold of my clients is stored securely). When this has been filled in and sent to me my clients are ready to book in and pay for their first session.

Step 4 – We make our agreement
The first session consists of my client and I making an agreement in the first place – a contract to which we can hold each other to. This includes fundamentally important things such as confidentiality, agreements around timings and attendance, and payments. Following the formation of this agreement, the space is ready for the counselling to begin.

Step 5 – We start our sessions
Following the formation of the agreement, the space is ready for the counselling to begin, which is almost always within the first session, after the agreement has been made. Sessions then continue until a natural ending occurs, or a pause in counselling is appropriate. My clients and I review how the sessions are going every 6 sessions, to then agree either a continuation, a pause, or an ending. If you want to have a free 30min call then please just click the button below and fill out the form.

Online counselling alternative

If you would prefer (or need) to meet online then I also offer my counselling services online via Zoom. Even though it’s a different experience to meeting face to face, it’s still a great option and in fact offers it’s own unique benefits.
