Alongside having been self-employed for many years within the digital marketing and website industry I have been passionately involved in deepening my self-awareness and communication abilities prior, in more recent years, to training as a Person-Centred counsellor.
Much of this ‘deepening’ has come about by my involvement with peer supported and facilitated led group work (particularly within the men’s work environment that has ‘archetype and shadow work’ at its roots).
As well as this group work are my own personal counselling experiences and various immersive self-development-oriented trainings that I have explored.
I find it a rich and thoroughly worthwhile pursuit, to know myself better, to understand and have greater levels of self-compassion as I navigate all that life puts in my path.
More recently I have joined the Counsellor training team at a nearby college to work with Further Education and Higher Education students. I view this as a great privilege, and it acts to further deepen my ‘sense of being’ as a counsellor in my private practice.
