A little about me.
Hello - I'm Chris! I am a trained and qualified 'Person-Centred' therapist (which very simply means my sessions are centred around my client's needs) and I offer friendly, welcoming, face to face and online Counselling sessions and group support for fathers from my base here in Hayle, Cornwall.

Alongside having been previously self-employed within the digital marketing and website industry I have been passionately involved in deepening my self-awareness and communication abilities for many years.

Be deeply heard, in a safe, welcoming space.
Having trained as a Person-Centred Counsellor (which holds Gold Accreditation with the BACP) and from my life experiences to date, I hold the intention to create a safe, welcoming space to deeply hear my clients at the core of my being.
The cultivation of a unique relationship between the counsellor and the client allows the potential for change to occur in the direction of something new, something that allows the regard of the self, others, the past, present and future to be held with a deep and unconditional acceptance.
This can be a freeing, liberating and life changing renewal.
The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.

Special interest - working with fathers
I hold a special interest in working with dads - providing one to one counselling and group support for fathers. It isn’t that long ago (OK - it was a few years ago now!) that I was a new dad myself, and as life has moved on since then I have experienced (and continue to experience) the 'rollercoaster' of parenting - rich in its complexities! In many ways the life changing experience of becoming a dad is one met with little support and the challenging experiences that new fathers go through, alongside their partners, and then continued as children grow up are often given little consideration. I value being a part of a movement to support men who transition into fatherhood, and do their best to stay present and available for their children.
Dad's Support Group
I offer free Dad’s Support Groups here in Hayle fortnightly on Mondays.
This is a calm, down-to-earth space for Dad's (and any male care-giver) to slow down, check in with themselves, and spend time with other dads who understand.
Also of interest - working with adults
In a more general sense within my private counselling practice, as well as working with fathers, I work with adults from a variety of walks of life who are often looking to explore aspects of their experiences that they find challenging. This can be anything from relationship difficulties with family, friends and work colleagues; issues surrounding gender, identity and sexual orientation; religion, spirituality, or other 'existential' matters; to financial worries and the burdens associated with living in a fast paced, often haste ridden and superficial world.
I also work with adults who aren’t necessarily 'challenged' by life, but value the experience of the counsellor – client relationship in their self-reflective journey through life. Counselling isn’t always about working through difficult times.
